Noise Complaint
The parish council recently received an anonymous complaint about loud music being played at the
village hall on a Sunday morning.
It is not possible to change the day the band can practice and, to be fair, the band has only hired the
hall a handful of times this year. As the weather has been so exceptionally hot this summer, no
doubt the sound of the music can be heard more because everyone has their doors and windows
open. The band have been made aware of the complaint and will endeavor to keep the noise down
as much as possible.
Please if you have a complaint rather than adopt an 8anonymous9 approach come and talk to
us so we can try and find an acceptable resolution for the parties concerned. Moreover,
complaints about village hall hire should be directed to the village hall chairman,
Ian Robertson.
Policing Matters
The speed van was in Brockley in June and caught 15 people over the limit.
Suffolk Police & Crime Panel - report
The 2025/26 Annual Report of the Suffolk Police and Crime Panel has now been published and is
available on County Council9s website at the following link:

The report gives an overview of the work of the panel over the previous year.
The next meeting of the parish council will be 10th September @ 7pm in the village hall.
This meeting will begin to consider projects for the next financial year. All welcome.
