PARKING AT THE VILLAGE HALL DURING CURRENT ROAD WORKS.
We are currently besieged by road works in Mill Road and further road works will follow in October
in Chapel Lane. It is possible then that this has and will cause problems with residents getting out of
their properties at certain times although one would imagine there should be emergency vehicle
access. However, 15-minute delays have been mentioned as a possibility.
There has already been one car parked in the Village Hall car park because of problems with the road
works which the Trustees did not know about but now understand the reason for this.
The Trustees would like to oblige residents where we can with regard to the use of the Village Hall
car park but stress it is a private car park for the use of hirers only in the first instance. However, if
any resident of Chapel Lane really feels they need to put their car in the Village Hall car park for a
short while so they are assured of getting out say, for an appointment, then the Trustees would agree
to this with the following conditions please.
Please inform the Chairman if you want to temporarily use the Village hall car park by email on
ianj.robertson@btinternet.com or ring on mobile 07986011892 so we know who you are.
Please only park in the hall car park if you really need to.
Please move the car as soon as you can.
This permission only lasts while the road works are going on.
Please avoid weekends when one supposes that there will be no works going on and we do have
some hirers events in October on Saturdays 3rd,10th,17th,24th and Sunday 11th, please do not park on
these days at all as hirers will need the space.
We hope this may assist residents where needed and your co-operation and good sense with this
temporary arrangement would be appreciated.
