Parish Council Update
October has been a quiet month for the parish council with not much to report.
Daffodil bulb planting
My thanks go to Lois Revel and Karen and Carl Steward for planting the large bag of daffodil bulbs
in front of the children’s playground that were supplied by City Fibre. Fortunately, the weather was
kind as it had rained heavily the night before making it a lot easier to get a bulb planter in the ground.
My thanks also to Felicity and Henry Driver who planted the second large bag of daffodil bulbs
along the verge at the Rede end of the village.
Volunteering to get the bulbs planted is much appreciated even though nothing could be seen for all
the hard work, however, the daffodils should look wonderful next spring bringing a smile to all our
faces.
Help wanted to remove branches and twigs...
We have a load of brittle brash wood that has been piled up against a tree inside the pond area which
needs to be removed. The wood could be used as kindling and is free to take away. Please help
yourselves to as much as you would like or take it all!
