Anglian Water (Strategic Pipeline)
You may have thought we had seen the last of Anglian Water but not so. Upon inspection by
Suffolk Highways, the engineers are not satisfied with the newly created verges by the two access
points. Anglian water will return to make the verges wider than they currently are, let’s hope
they won’t need to close the road again.
Bus Stop — Line painting
Speaking with Highways, I understand that the Bus Stop is due to be lined in the next couple of
months. Painting at this time of the year is reliant on dry weather so it may be a while before we
see the yellow lines appear.
Nick Timothy MP
Our MP has asked to come and meet with parish councillors. Once we have a date, I hope to open
up the meeting to residents for a question and answer session. I will keep you posted.
Halloween and Bonfire Night
A polite reminder, once again, that we are fast approaching Halloween and Bonfire night. If you are
having a party, please consider your neighbours and any pets they may have: pets will need to be
kept safe. The next parish council meeting will be 27th November @7pm in the village hall.
This meeting will be considering budget priorities for 2026/27. All welcome.
Cllr. Dr. Julie Wymer
Chair, Brockley Parish Council
A Brain Teaser…….
WHO DO YOU THINK THESE STARS ARE?
1)Charles Carter – He never played at the Valley or stopped at this M4 service station?
2)Issur Danielovitch – This enterprising captain should have excavated smaller?
3)William Henry Pratt – Britain’s 55th Prime Minister put his vehicle in the attic?
4)Joyce Frankenberg – The third wife of Henry VIII will help you name this star?
5)Solomon Cohen – If he blessed this house it would be a right carry on?
