An idea has been brought to the parish council about having a page in the newsletter advertising
unwanted items that would be 8free to a good home9 3 while you may not want that log basket
sitting in your garage and taking up space, someone else may find a good use for it. We throw
so much away it would be great if we could utilize unwanted items rather than let it go to landfill.
Please let me have your thoughts.
The next parish council meeting will be on 23
All welcome.

HIRING THE VILLAGE HALL
From 1st July you will be able to hire the village hall by going online. The new, online booking
system will make life a considerable amount easier for the hirer and booking secretary. For our
regular groups your hall hire will automatically be updated in the online calendar, you do not need
to do anything UNLESS there is a change. It will be the responsibility of the group leader to contact
the booking secretary if changes are required.
Please see the 8how to book9 information in the diary section of the newsletter. 8SIMPLES9…..
Dr. Julie Wymer 3 Trustee, On behalf of Brockley Village Hall Management Committee
BROCKLEY VILLAGE HALL 4 AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THANKS.
The Trustees would like to thank the following people who recently gave help to the Village Hall.
Bob and Karen Double who cleaned the hall while our regular cleaner was on holiday and gave their
time free of charge.
Peter Winch who sourced and fitted new window handles to the front section of the Village Hall
again giving his time free of charge.
Mark Goulding who kindly made a temporary repair to the broken handle on the sound cabinet
without being asked, to try and help out.
Thankyou to all of these people for giving their time for free and helping our Community Hall, it is
encouraging to those of us who run the hall to get this support.
There are other people who regularly contribute time to helping at the Hall and I will register my
thanks at the upcoming Village Hall AGM on 30th July.
Ian Robertson.
